A love story for the ages! Brings in a whole different light on what happens on life after death. Heartfelt and a tear jerker all in one. Brought emotions to me that I didn't even knew I had.
Preston's choices and his journey creates a world that just draws you in. You feel what he feels, the good and the bad. His journey will forever be branded upon your heart.
Vividly and descriptively written, no detail left unanswered. Every book I've read by Jacqueline M. Sinclair has been beautifully romantic, yet sassy, peppered with action, heat, and incredibly imaginative. She is incredibly versatile, and her talent surpasses genre as you find out when you read her venture into Paranormal Romance with The Guardian.
Preston's selfless act puts him in a position of limbo, but learns it may have been for nothing, and is faced with an impossible choice between the woman he loves and his place in eternity. You can feel his shaken faith, his devotion, and his utter desperation to do the right thing leap from the pages. Poignant and artfully built, this story speaks of love, not only spanning a single lifetime, but through the ages.
The unknown about life and death brought to a unique perspective, haunting, yet inspires faith and hope. Jacqueline M. Sinclair's leap into the paranormal is just fantastic, invoking emotions from the reader, and causing you to think deeply about the story long after you've finished.
Achingly tragic, beautiful in progression, the journey Preston takes is etched on your heart. So vividly told, you feel present, and are happily rewarded with heartwarming romance, and all consuming need.
The end brings truths previously unknown, and so many things are revealed that completely blew my mind, and brought me to tears, both happy and sad. Whether you are a fan of the genre or not, this is a story that will touch your heart, and sweep you away.

The Guardian by Jacqueline M. Sinclair is a standalone novel about a man who gives up his life and his chance to get into Heaven so that the love of his life could live.
There are rules to being a guardian. One of those rules is not knowing what happened to the person you saved. This rule is broken when Preston recognizes his wife's soul in Christin’s eyes.
Their relationship is doomed from the start but that doesn’t keep them away from each other.
Preston finds himself faced with another decision to make. Things aren’t what they seem, though and his choice isn’t as clear cut as it once was.
I spent most of this book preparing for the worst. I couldn’t see it ending well. Plus Jacqueline has been very good at making me ugly cry with some of her other books.
The book is so well written. It takes you from a happy to sad in no time and then brings you back around to happy again.
I won’t giveaway the ending except to say it was very well done and fit the atmosphere of the book perfectly.
